In the overwhelming majority victory of the 4th national election Youth and Sport minister w/o Aster Mamo and other two former Ethiopian Football Federation high officials won a parliament seat.

Member of the ruling party EPRDF, w/o Aster Mamo won in Woreda 23 locality with significant number over executive member of UDJ Dr. Hailu Araaya and president of AEUP Engineer Hailu shawel.

Former EFF unpopular president Dr. Asheber W/Giorgis became the only unattached winner of parliament seat defeating EPRDF candidate and head of the P.M. to Office Berhanu Adello in Bonga locality. Mekonen Jemaneh executive body of football federation during the military regime later Ethiopian Coffee F.C. manager ten years back won a seat in his locality.Three prominent sport figures in the parliament, it is a blessing for the nation’s football that is in consistent down slide for the past three decades.
