Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – Defending champions Ethiopian Coffee defeated Defence Force 4-2 here today in Week 6 of the Ethiopia Premier League.

The victory lifted the team to 4th place. So, after six matches, Coffee has 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats.

In other matches, Dedebit FC beat Mugher Cement 2-1 in Sebeta; Ethiopian Air Force forced Adama Kenema to a 1-1 draw in Adama and Sidama Coffee and Harar Brewery played to a 1-1 draw.

Mugher Cement scored its lone goal 25 minutes into the first half thanks to its captain Dereje Mengistu, but two quick goals by top striker Getaneh Kebede in the dying minutes helped Dedebit avoid defeat.

The victory in Sebeta helped Dedebit, which has 2 matches in hand, to move one notch to second place behind EEPCO.
