Meita Touray, the secretary general of the Global Youth Innovation Network (GYIN)-Gambia, who is also a reporter with the Daily Observer newspaper, on Tuesday left for Ethiopia, to attend the fourth Africa Carbon Forum (ACF) which is currently taking place in Addis Ababa from the 18th-20th April 2012.
The forum is organised by the African Development Bank (AfDB), International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), and the World Bank. The forum is also supported by the Ethiopian Environmental Protection Agency. .... |

 Three of Ethiopia’s large carnivores – the cheetah, wild dog, and lion – received much-needed action plans today to address future conservation of these imperiled predators, which are increasingly threatened by development and human-related activities.
