Ethiopia: PM Meles sends felicitation to re-elected Sudanese Presidents

Addis Ababa, April 27, 2010 (Addis Ababa) - Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has sent congratulatory messages to Sudanese President Omar Hassen Ahmed Al-Beshir on his re-election as president of the country.

The premier in his congratulatory message expressed delight on behalf of the people, federal government of Ethiopia and on his own .

He said the re-election of president Al-Beshir will ensure the continuity of the peace and development of the country and the successful implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement(CPA).

Meles expressed his conviction that the able leadership of the Al-Bashir will benefit the people of Sudan from the continued development in the country.

The premier expressed his confidence that the existing relations of the two sisterly countries will further be strengthened.

The premier wished the personal wellbeing for the presidents and peace and stability for the people of Sudan.

Similarly ,PM Meles expressed his delight on the re- election of General Salva Kiir Mayardif as the president of the government of South Sudan,who is also the first vice president of the Sudan.

Meles said Salva Kiir’s election coincide with a very important period in the the region. He also said Salva Kiir’s election is very critical for the successful implementation of the CPA.

The premier also expressed the election of Salva Kiir will ensure the continuity of peace and development of Southern Sudan.
