Saints face Nigerian Heartland in CECAFA club tournament

Ethiopian Premier League defending champions Saint George have been drawn against Nigerian side Heartland for the 2010 East and Central African club championship, which has been sponsored by Rwandan President Paul Kagame since 2004.

Reigning African Club champion, TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigerian Heartland are among the 12 sides invited for the tournament that will kick-off on May 16 in the Rwandan capital Kigali.

Group one features Rwandan champion and the president's favourite side APR, TP Mazembe of DRC, Vitalo of Burundi, and Telecom of Djibouti.
The group of death brings together Saint George, Nigerian Heartland, Rwandan Ryon Sport and Mafonzo of Zanzibar.

Defending CECAFA club champions Rwandan Atracon have been drawn with Sofapaco of Kenya, URA of Uganda and Tanzanian champion Simba.
Winner and runner-up of the groups plus the two best third placed teams will go through to the knockout stages.
