Sudan to Establish Free Zone Area with Ethiopia
   
 
 
   
 
(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Sudan's Minister of Finance and National Economy Ali Mahmoud Abdul-Rassoul has affirmed Sudan keenness to reactivate its economic and commercial relations with Ethiopia, besides revampting all the commercial and banking protocols signed between the two countries as part of the activity of the joint cooperation committee, which is scheduled to be held during the first quarter of 2012.

The Minister disclosed the intention to establish a free zone area between Sudan and Ethiopia at Galabat area with the aim to reactivate the commercial relations between the bordering areas.

This came when the Minister of Finance received Sudan''s Ambassador to Ethiopia Gen. Abdul-Rahman Siral-Khatim at his office yesterday.

Ambassador Siral-Khatim has affirmed Sudan keenness to boost its relations with Ethiopia for the interest of the two nations, pointing to the strategic locations of the two countries as a gateway to the other continents as well as to the Middle East.

He also stressed the necessity of exploiting the tremendous resources in the two countries toward enforcing the economic integration and the cooperation between the two countries.
