Maid severed girl’s head due to mistreatment
Says she wanted to commit suicide after murder but changed her mind

An Ethiopian housemaid who murdered her female employer in Kuwait by cutting her head off by with an axe a day before the Kuwaiti girl’s wedding said she had done so because she had been mistreated by her father.

The maid, identified only as Aisha, said she wanted to commit a suicide by cutting her veins just after killing her employer while asleep but changed her mind in the last minute and decided to leave the country.

“After three hours of interrogation, police said the maid killed her employer to revenge mistreatment,” Alanba Arabic language daily said.

Aisha, 28, said she had planned to kill her 25-year-old employer a month ago but kept postponing the murder because relatives were always present.

“On Wednesday, my employer rebuked and shouted at me for not cleaning the house properly…on that day, I decided to quickly carry out my plan,” she said.

“On Thursday, the house was empty except for the girl…I went to the kitchen, got an axe and went into her bed room, where she was asleep…when I hit her on the chest, she woke up and started screaming and resisting, so I grabbed her and hit her on the neck…I kept hitting her until her head was cut off.”

Aisha said she then went straight to the bathroom and wanted to slash her veins with a blade to commit a suicide.

“I then changed my mind…I washed the blood off, got dressed, packed my things and went out to the street, where I got a taxi to the airport….as I was about to buy a ticket, a police man came and arrested me.”
