London Jewellery Week: Treasure Competition From fine high-end, luxury jewellery to statement pieces made from surprising materials, Treasure offers something for everyone whether you’re an avid jewellery collector or an impulse shopper. What’s more, Treasure is a showcase for some of the hottest emerging talent in the jewellery world today. Names to watch this year include:

•Alexander Davis – Winner New Designer of the Year 2010 at the prestigious UK Jewellery Awards for his boundary-pushing collection of statement pieces in fine metals including platinum and palladium.

•Joanna Dahdah – Winner of the Treasure Designer of the Year Award 2010 will launch her latest collection of unconventional yet exquisite jewellery creations

•Madhuri Parson – this New Yorker draws on her Indian Heritage to create stunning pieces that balance Eastern and Western influences. Treasure represents Madhuri Parson’s debut into the UK market.

•Zelia Horsley – architecturally striking jewellery, slick, chic, and utterly wearable. With collections for both men and women, Horsley’s underground credibility is propelling her range into ‘must have’ for those in the know.

PROFESSIONAL JEWELLER STAND COMPETITION
London Jewellery Week’s Official Trade Media Partner, Professional Jeweller, hosted a competition on their website for a free stand at Treasure and received over X entries from emerging and established jewellers. Industry experts selected a short-list of ten and visitors to professionaljeweller.com chose the three winners. The following winners of the competition will be showcasing their latest collections at Treasure:

•Trisori – Specialising in gold plated contemporary jewellery with semi-precious stones.

•Laura Gravestock – Beautifully designed, luxury jewellery with Middle Eastern and Spanish influences.

•Natalia Schroder – quirky and bold large scale pieces for body adornment.

All jewellery will be on sale, with prices ranging from the affordable to the luxury. Shoppers can even meet the designers in person and commission something completely bespoke either for themselves or a loved one. Either way – a treasured heirloom can be expected.

JEWELLERY SHOW SALON
In a brand new initiative, Treasure has teamed up with The Jewellery Show annual trade event to create, The Jewellery Show Salon – a trade exclusive day at Treasure. On 9 June domestic and international retail buyers will have the run of the exhibition meeting designers, networking and making orders. It is the perfect opportunity for high street and high-end buyers to get a sense of what’s happening in London’s rich cutting-edge jewellery design world.

What’s more WGSN, the respected fashion and commercial trend forecaster, will be hosting informative seminars throughout the day. The expertise offered by WGSN is second-to-none with the most up-to-date case studies from across the industry.

GOLDSMITHS’ COMPANY PAVILION
Treasure will also host the Goldsmiths’ Company Pavilion for the first time, featuring collections from jewellers who exhibit at the highly acclaimed annual Goldsmiths’ Fair. The perfect way to get a small taste of Goldsmiths’ Fair before it comes back for two weeks in the autumn. Jewellers participating in the Goldsmiths’ Company Pavilion include:

•Daphne Krinos – her subtle gemstones set in architectural forms make a striking statement.

•Ornella Ianuzzi — organic, nature-inspired jewellery is both dramatic and highly wearable.
