Ethiopia: Meles confers with Somaliland President

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi held talks on Thursday with Somaliland President, Ahmed Mohamud Ahmud.

Meles on the occasion said Ethiopia and Somaliland are working jointly on regional security. They are also collaborating in the area of trade.

Ethiopia would like to strengthen further its existing cooperation with the Somaliland, he said.

President Mohamud Ahmud also expressed the keen interest of his administration to reinforce mutual aid with Ethiopia in various sectors.

    It is funny, every Somalilander considers Ethiopia as the only freind in need in the world they have!
    on contrary, Ethiopia's News Agency, as well as Newsdire.com, do not even know the correct name of the Somaliland President. Look how you wrote. "Prime Minister Meles Zenawi held talks on Thursday with Somaliland President, Ahmed Mohamud Ahmud" the correct name of the President is Ahmed Mohamed Mohamoud (Silanyo).
    also whether Ethiopia recognizes the status of Somaliland or not! of Course Somalilanders consider Ethiopia the nearest and mostly respected friends. but on other hand you consider them as regional adminstration. there is no even a single word you wrote Somaliland government. isn't it to be ashamed. You will not leave the region, and Somalilanders will be your neigbor and friends. so consider the right they deserve! and give them the status they deserve!
