Ludhiana A six-member delegation from Ethiopia comprising four senior government employees and two senior delegations from UNICEF, one from Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi, and other from NGC nodal office visited BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, here on Thursday. The aim behind their visit was to see as how the school was running green school programme.

The delegates included Yacob Habte Lerebo, Solomon Wondimu Metafaria, Selam Ayalew Desalegn, Gurma Negussie and Eleni Mamo Abera, Ato Deto Aynalem, Ashish Shah from CSE, Marian Jafri and Dr S S Lahdar, Joint Director of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh. All of them went around the school on an exploratory journey to know as how school is running Green House programme.

Salem appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in protecting environment. While the students also presented an action plan to save environment and to combat the climate change. Vipra Kale, the environment manager of the school, was also present there along with Paramjit Kaur, the school principal.
