MoA inaugurates $2m product quality testing lab

The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) said it would exert maximum efforts to meet national agricultural development goals. A quality monitoring and testing laboratory of agricultural products was inaugurated on Monday. The laboratory would provide quality analytical testing services for different agricultural products.

MoA inaugurates $2m product quality testing labSpeaking at the inaugural ceremony, MoA Minister, Tefera Deribew said the laboratory would enable to improve the quality and profitability of agricultural products. Former Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Addisu Legesse for his part said the establishment of the laboratory is timely and essential. It was indicated on the occasion that the laboratory built at a cost of 2 million USD meets internationally accepted extracting
