A Pakistani Taxi Driver Rapes Ethiopian Girl in Dubai

The Pakistani man raped the Ethiopian girl onboard his cab. He was sent to prison for five years for the offense.

A Dubai based newspaper called the National has it that the cab driver named K.B. picked the Ethiopian girl, H.M., when she was on her way to the nearby police station from her employer’s residence. “He agreed to take me to a police station located in Ras Alkor neighborhood,” the girl said. On their way to the said destination, he pulled over and asked her to have sex with him. When she refused, he resorted to use force and raped her.

H.M. told the newspaper the offender swerved the cab in a different direction afterwards and drove her to another locality close to an Immigration Department. Before she alighted from the taxi, there was a fracas between the two that drew the attention of the people around that particular spot. The culprit was arrested; she was taken to a clinic for medical confirmation.

The driver told the court that he committed the crime on the spur of the moment. All the same, the court ordered that he be locked away for five years and deported after serving the sentence.
