Meet International Model Ethiopian Mekdes Tsegaye

On December 3rd 1982 a young women called Roman Lema and her husband Tsegaye Habte brought a beautiful little girl to the world. Her grandfather named her Mekdes which means the house of God.
At the age of six she joined Kuter Hulet elementary school where she took her elementary classes and after that she went to Atse Gelawdios secondary school to attend her high school studies. Both schools are located in Nazareth.
Completing high school she joined Rift valley University College in Nazareth and got her diploma in computer science. Then, she went to the USA and received her BA honors degree in International Business. After she gets her degree she worked for an Import Company Called Triton International as an Import specialist in USA.
Along with her education she has done Modeling for four years in New York USA. She has also attended a six-month training in acting and script writing in The Players Theater in New York USA and has brought back home her young and promising talent in the industry. Currently, she opened her own film production company called Mekdi productions PLC. She is working on her first movie called Ethiopiawinet as an Executive producer, Producer, Script writer and Actress

Where the search for one’s identity is frustrated by the quest for survival, we welcome you to a new experience in mystery and suspense. Melat is a 26 year old protagonist who represents the strong deeds of this generation and pays the utmost sacrifices in life in search of her identity. This exploration of one’s values is the central theme of the film.
Melat covers Ethiopia’s major historical places such as Axum, Gondar, Harar, Bahr Dar and other similar sites in her journey and shows us the intangible realities these concrete monuments have harbored in them for ages in the form of unity, vigor, love and desire.
These depictions are brought to us through the protagonist’s resolute struggle in a great deal of adventure and amidst challenges filled with frustration and hopelessness. Love, family issues and other excruciating challenges conspire against Melat in her defiant feat towards the realization of her dreams. Finally, the film takes us from Addis Ababa to various cities in Ethiopia to let us share the experience of Melat and her aspiration, the hardships involved and their possible resolutions.
Alongside the major theme of the film, the audience experiences romantic scenes coupled with episodes of warm and inspiring friendship interactions, all of which add humor and sweet flavor to the train of the story. Anti-protagonists also take spectacular roles by inducing intrigue and mystery. How will she deal with her own human nature and unravel the intricacies?
