By Binyam Tamene

One of the early graduates from Addis Ababa School of Fine Art in Addis Ababa University, Alefeleg Selam, gave plenty of attention to the attractive painting entitled 'The Night', after the renowned artist opened the permanent exhibition at Panorama Hotel. By contemporary artist Abyalew Assefa, the price of this painting went up to 13,000 birr during the opening ceremony.

Entitled: Identity, the permanent art exhibition illustrates the country's natural features, as well as social attributes, through 120 paintings. President of Abyssinia Fin Art School Genet Kebede said these paintings are expected to be replaced within a fortnight by others.

Abyssinia Fine Art School in collaboration with Panorama Hotel, which is located at Haile Gebresilasse Road, near Meganagna, host the artworks of 15 contemporary Ethiopian artists.

During the opening ceremony, veteran artists like Tadess Woldearegay, Taddesse Belayneh, Worku Mamo, and Taye Woldemedhin attended.
