Artists from different cultures exhibit contrasting works in HCMC

An exhibition by two artists, Trhas Gutsche and Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, is being shown at HCMC’s Applied Arts Gallery until Nov 10.

Artists from different cultures exhibit contrasting works in HCMCThemed “Rhythm and Contrast, the event features 42 works with different styles and different materials.

Ethiopian-born Gutsche says her "intention is to evoke the sense of diversity in a world full of contrasts. And it is conveyed in my art works in vivid color and rich flowing rhythm of its own.”

Kim Chi, meanwhile, says her works, featuring a "behind the scenes character-puppet" lays out everything in a "constant rhythm.”
