Lifan Motors, the China-based car assembling company recently established in Ethiopia under Yangfan Motors Plc, on Thursday delivered its first fifteen Lifan-brand cars to customers here.

The company delivered its first products, Lifan 620 and Lifan 520, to the customers at its newly furnished service station located around the Kera locality officially inaugurated on the same day.

The first batch delivery includes ten Lifan 520s and five Lifan 520s. The company has more orders in the waiting list, according to the General Manager of the company, Pan Jequan Andy.

The company has pledged that it will provide a free maintenance service for its maiden customers after three months or 3000kms on the road.

Yangfan Motors plans to assemble three models here: Lifan 320, Lifan 520 and Lifan 620.

The company had been partners with Holland Car, a local car assembling company, which had been assembling the Doc and Abay brands here before the two broke up in June 2009.
