Terrorism

The definition of terrorism has proved controversial. Various legal systems and government agencies use different definitions of “terrorism“. Moreover, the international community has been slow to formulate a universally agreed upon, legally binding definition of this crime. These difficulties arise from the fact that the term “terrorism” is politically and emotionally charged.

“Without the people who finance it-it would not be possible to have terrorist acts” militantislammonitor.org

Based on over five years of research, Rohan Gunaratna a research fellow at the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence, University of St. Andrews, Scotland exposes, global funds of al Qaeda were managed by an exiled Saudi businessman in Ethiopia, Sheikh Muhammad Hussein al-Almadi, In his book “Inside Al Qaeda: Global Network of Terror” Gunaratna provides the definitive story behind the rise of this mysterious group to a big organization making headlines today.

On the third paragraph on page 85 reads:

Based on over five years of research, the book provides the definitive story behind the rise of this mysterious group to an organization making headlines today. It documents how al Qaeda (AQ) organized and manipulated a global network of associated Jihadists to conduct terrorism around the planet.

In 2002 several newspapers in USA have reported similar stories linking Sheikh Muhammad Al Amudin to al- Al Qaeda group.Since then, Sheik Mohammed Al Amoudi has not be able to enter the United States.

Controversies

1. Sheik Mohammed Al Amoudi departed from the nation affection right after his announcement to support the ruling party in 2005 election. His political inclination can not/should not be compromised to others interest; however, his attempt to manipulate his popularity by distributing the ruling party T-shit via St. George football club revealed his inadequate management towards the then politics of ours. He misused his Board chair personality to his political leaning.

EPRDF is best when it comes to tit for tat; may be …may be…… EPRDF and the Sheikh are scratching each others back. EPRDF needs money. And, the Sheikh needs Protection (sanctuary) against Anti-terrorist support attack ( or from CTU- counter Terrorist Unit). The Counter Terrorist Unit was an elite branch of the CIA that operated under the Department of Defense.

2. The Sheik is always criticized about his own business entrepreneurial skills/consultancy groups. An entrepreneur is a person who has possession of a new enterprise, venture or idea and is accountable for the inherent risks and the outcomes. However; almost all of the Sheik’s Ethiopian business enterprises are either purchased or conceived in duplication of the retired firms and the existing ventures.

3. The Sheik swears to start gigantic something, but as usual says “Stop!!!!” ….”have a time”. Reminds me of Mc Hammer’s “can’t touch this”.
